Do I have to register ahead of time?

Yes, please!
 
However, we recognize that some people may "walk-in" on the day of GGS. If you are one of those people, please talk with someone at check-in and they will either find an open slot for you, or ask you to come back for the last hour of GGS.
 
We want to help as many families as possible, and also respect those who have planned ahead. Please help us in honoring this process.

Can I shop for someone else?

Yes, absolutely!
 
The signup will only allow you to register for one shopping slot. So, your friend must first register for a shopping slot with their email. Then, they will need to give us a heads-up that someone else will be shopping for them. Please email gahannagiftshop@gmail.com to let us know this arrangement ahead of time.

What types of payment methods do you receive?

We only accept cash. We can't take credit cards or checks.

Question 4

Is there a toy limit per shopper?

Accepted Answer

Yes.
 
This is determined a few days before the GGS and is based on the total number of gifts donated and the total number of families that will shop. In years past, the gift limit has been around five to six gifts per shopper.

Who gets all of the money from GGS?

Accepted Answer

100% of the sales from GGS are given directly to Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools!
 
Over the last seven years, we've been able to give over $14,000 back to our local schools!

Question 6

Can I bring my kids while I shop?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely!

They can be with you, or if you'd like to, you can check them into our KidZone where they'll have fun and make a Christmas craft with our great volunteers. That will allow you to shop and keep everything a secret until Christmas! :)

Why do you have a gift registry?

A registry helps in two ways:
 
     1. It gives donors a helpful guideline for the kinds of gifts we need for GGS and ensures similar quality across the board.

2. It helps us know where we are in our total gifts donated so that we can plan ahead better.

Please drop off new, unwrapped toys to New Life Church in Gahanna, OH. Their address is 3690 N. Stygler Rd., Gahanna, OH 42330. You can drop off or ship them until Thursday before Gift Shop. If you have any questions about donations, please visit our Donate page or email gahannagiftshop@gmail.com.
